This is the best National reserve, a home of big five and millions of wild animal’s migration during July to October. Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the few places where you can actually encounter a haven for viewing a congregation of all sorts of animals in a five mile radius. A pride of lions can be spotted ready to make a run for a kill, a cheetah and its cub taking a nap on a rock, a pair of ostriches walking the open stretches of the savannah or a gazelle giving birth.
The Mara is an extension of the Serengeti National park of Tanzania, and is cushioned by the Loita Hills in the east, Itong Hills in the North and Siria escarpment in the west. During game drive you will find elephant, Black Rhino, buffalo, plains zebra, roan antelope in small numbers, white-bearded gnu, Oribi, warthog, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle, hartebeest and the big cats; the rivers are home to hippo and crocodiles. The reserve it is also have many different species of birds found inside.
This safari by road is only possible to start and end in Nairobi, From Mombasa/ Diani it’s only done by flight.

Day 1: Nairobi- Masai Mara National Reserve
You’ll be picked up at your hotel/airport at 7:30 am, then proceed to the office and depart Nairobi at 8:30 am for Masai Mara. You will stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to take some pictures. After the stop, you will descend the escarpment to Narok town for a short stopover. You will arrive
in Masai Mara in time for lunch. You will check in at the camp, take a short break to refresh then later proceed for evening game drive.
Later back to the Tented Camp or Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 2: Full day game drive Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you will leave for a full-day game drive carrying a packed picnic lunch. The reserve is well known for its black-manned lion and is one of the few places where you have the chance to see the Big Five during an early morning game drive. Many of the cheetahs are so tame they seek shelter from
the hot sun under safari vehicles and several even climb onto the roof to get a better view of prospective prey. For the bird enthusiast, almost 500 species have been recorded: among these include 16 species of eagle, many hawks and falcon, 6 species of vulture, 8 species of stork, 4 of bustard, and 9 species of sunbird. Later back for Dinner and overnight at same tented camp or Lodge.
Day 3: Masai Mara to Nairobi Airport or Hotel
You will have an early breakfast followed by check out the tented camp or Lodge then head to the Maasai village for a cultural tour as an extra option activity. You will have lunch en route. Later on, you will depart to Nairobi. You will be dropped off at the hotel/airport.
